PROJECT NAME: ROS – 104 - 11.55 (Over Mead Paper Company)
CLIENT: The Ohio Department of Transportation - District 9
PROJECT COST: $1,800,000
PROJECT DESCRIPTION: This bridge is four span, 295’ long, continuous, non-composite, dog-legged rolled–beams with a reinforced concrete deck. The structure is on a horizontal curve and lies on a 600’ long crest vertical curve. Bridge width is 62’-3” with 3’ wide median. The substructure units consist of twin pier bents (cap and two columns) and sub abutments on spread footings. The project replaced the superstructure with full composite dog-legged rolled beams and reinforced concrete deck. The existing rocker and bolster bearings were replaced with elastomeric bearings. Structure was raised and clearance was provided for the railroad and conveyor belts above and below the structure.
