PROJECT NAME: Georgesville Road Part 1 & 2 - Replacement & Widening

PROJECT COST: $10,000,000

PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Project involves the complete reconstruction of 0.6 miles of an existing five lane road to a maximum seven lane facility to provide additional capacity and to modify access. Our firm prepared a complete set of construction documents (apprx 200 shts) including; field surveys, traffic analysis, lighting analysis, design of a 24” water line and complete right of way plan preparation with descriptions.

The project also includes the alignment of existing intersections with proposed driveways, traffic volume projections, and a traffic impact study coordinated between three jurisdictions. Raised medians, curb and gutter, enclosed drainage, new and reconstructed mast arm traffic signals, street lighting, sidewalks, leisure trail and curb ramp design were also included.

This project was a great public/private partnership with an adjacent development and the County. OPWC awarded this project approximately $3,000,000 in grants.

Our firm completed these plans within 12 months.
