Construction Inspector
E.P. Ferris & Associates is looking to add qualified candidates to our team of Construction Inspection professionals. Our firm has been providing professional engineering and surveying services to the central Ohio market for more than 35 years. The continued growth of central Ohio has afforded our firm the opportunity to add team members with the goal of assisting our clients build quality infrastructure.
We are accepting resumes for full and part-time Construction Inspectors who would like to join our Municipal Department and assist with some mega Civil Engineering projects in the Central Ohio area. Position offers Full Benefits.
Minimum Qualifications:
Experience in heavy construction industry with sewers, roadways and waterlines
The ability to read construction plans
Familiarity with Columbus Construction and Material Specifications
Valid drivers license
Experience operating laptops or tablets
Willingness to work outside, along side heavy construction equipment
Survey Technician
Immediate opening for a full-time survey field technician, providing assistance to land survey crews. Duties would include, working on construction sites laying out infrastructure improvements, helping with level circuits, setting up survey equipment and other duties as assigned by the Crew Chief. Experience in the construction/surveying industry is preferred but not required.
Survey Crew Chief
E.P. Ferris is looking for a survey crew chief who can perform land surveying activities utilizing Trimble Robotic total stations and Trimble GPS units. Work includes boundary, topo, ALTA/NSPS land title surveys, and construction layout. Applicants need to have a minimum of 3 years of experience in land surveying.
Civil Engineer / Designer / Project Manager
Qualified land development Engineer/Designer/Project Manager needed with 0 to 15 years of experience to join our dynamic team of professionals; working closely with professional engineers & surveyors, utilizing AutoCAD Civil 3D, on urban redevelopment and greenfield projects such as single family, multi-family, mixed use, hospitality & corporate campus developments. Traffic Engineer
Qualified traffic engineer needed to join our dynamic team of professionals, working closely with professional engineers on both public and private projects, including roadway, single family, multi-family, mixed use, hospitality & corporate campus developments. This position will also have the opportunity to assist our public clients with safety studies, warrants, pedestrian improvements and intersection operation reviews. E.P. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Traffic Engineering
Professional Engineer registration in Ohio, or ability to obtain
5-10 years of professional experience in traffic engineering study standards and practices, and familiarity with traffic control and traffic signal design plans
Ability to perform and oversee preparation the preparation of traffic studies, analysis, and proficiency with Highway Capacity Software and Synchro/Sim Traffic
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Willingness to learn new skills and work collaboratively in a team environment
ODOT prequalification preferred for Interchange Modification Studies and Safety Studies
